The theater started out with a sheet and an old Proxima projector. It has since evolved to a rather elaborate setup to include:

The screen is mounted to the our detached garage. I ended up digging a 20 foot long trench from the garage to the 4x4 pressure treated fence post where the projector is placed about 36 inches above ground. The trench eliminates the possiblity of someone tripping over wires in the dark, where the 36" post allows people to sit in front of the projector without having to worry about interfereing with the projector.

I placed two conduit runs in the trench, one contained an electric run to an outlet mounted on the fence post. The other conduit (1.5") contains s-video, svga, and rca audio wire runs. The conduit terminates at the fence post where there is a data box that contains a wall plate that accepts s-video, rca audio, and svga. At the top fo the fence post I placed a plywood surface where I the quick disconnect projector mount is fastened. Between the quick disconnect of the mount, and the wall plate, it makes the theater setup time minimal.
